Packed Bed Systems

Packed Bed Systems

Packed Bed Systems

This technology has been used in Europe longer than North America, but with more and more installations, the trend in North America is growing and Ecodyne is leading the way. Packed bed technology has a slightly higher capital cost; however, it provides long lasting benefits that are likely to meet your pay back criteria, including:

  • Highest water quality
  • Lowest chemical consumption
  • Minimum waste volume

All of these contribute to a lower operational cost. We would be happy to provide a payback analysis of conventional versus packed bed technology. We are the exclusive North American supplier of Bayer WS Packed Bed technology and have a large number of Packed Bed installations in North America, which we can refer you to.

Conventional

Conventional

Conventional Ion Exchange Systems

Whether it’s softeners, dealkalizers, cocurrent or countercurrent demineralizers, Ecodyne has a custom designed ion-exchange solution to suit your application.

Degasifiers

Degasifiers

Degasifiers

Liberate free CO2 in the water, reducing the loading on the anion resin. When the alkalinity loading is approximately 50% or more of the total anion loading, a degasifier is typically included with the Ion Exchange System. Degasififiers are made of FRP and can include an optional integral storage tank. Ecodyne can provide any custom-designed solution for your application.

Ecodyne is a preferred supplier to the Alberta Oilsands and has provided many produced water WAC packages. Custom designed systems are available for both in-situ and external regeneration configuration.
